Cengage Learning Joins Business Leaders at the 2016 NAWB Forum to Discuss Technology Solutions for Workforce Development
Cengage Learning will join other business leaders at the 2016 National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) Annual Forum in Washington D.C. to discuss ways to support and contribute to ongoing workforce development efforts. The Forum convenes workforce, education and economic development professionals to address solutions to keep America competitive.
At this year’s conference, Cengage Learning’s participation includes demos of new resources for NAWB members, presentations of information on online learning for Career Centers and discussions around online high school diploma programs to help provide increased access to education. Is Online Learning a Viable Option at My Career Center?: Sunday, March 13, 11:00 a.m.
This workshop will explore online learning and discuss how it can be utilized at Career Centers. A dynamic discussion will provide information about new online resources, how they comply with WIOA and how they can work for job-seekers. Panel: Shared Access and Equity – Building Communities that Compete: Sunday, March 13, 2:30 p.m.
Ron Stefanski, Director of Strategic Alliances for Cengage Learning’s Smart Horizons Career Online Education, joins other leaders as a panelist in a discussion about the challenges facing workforce and economic development in both urban and rural areas. Ron will share insight on education and training programs as part of the discussion.
