Looking for a way to boost student outcomes in your Texas government course? Consider assigning digital. Our studies show that students spend 50% more time working in MindTap if it counts for at least 20% of their grade.
We know that today’s students highly value digital learning tools. According to a recent report, 74% of surveyed college students feel they would perform better if their instructors would use more technology.
Recent analysis of MindTap usage for all disciplines across the 2014-2015 academic year demonstrates that using MindTap can have a significant and positive impact on student learning and outcomes.
Digital counts. When MindTap assignments count for at least 20% of their grade, students spend 50% more time in the platform. We’ve also learned the following:
- Students who use MindTap at least one hour per week are twice as likely to receive a 90% average or better compared to students who spend less than an hour.
- Students who use MindTap for at least three hours each week are twice as likely to earn a 90% or above on their assignments.
If faculty use the platform, students will, too! Instructors spending time in MindTap drives students to spend time in MindTap:
- Instructors who spend eight or more hours managing their course through the semester get students to spend twice as much time working in the course.
- Instructors who customize the learning path for their Texas government course get ~70% more students to spend an hour or more per week in MindTap.
MindTap also helps to develop and reinforce good study skills. For example, students who use the Flashcard app at least ten times through the term are nearly twice as likely to earn a 90% average or above.
