We’re pleased and honored to announce the Cengage Learning products that have been named finalists for the 2015 CODiE Awards, presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the leading association representing the software and digital content industries.
This year, Cengage Learning’s solutions were nominated for nine awards—the highest number in our history. We’re also proud that the honored resources span several markets, including K-12, higher education, and libraries:
MindTap, Cengage Learning’s personalized digital learning solution, is a finalist in three education categories. MindTap transforms today’s students into critical thinkers through personalized paths of dynamic assignments and applications. By combining readings, multimedia, activities and assessments in one easy-to-use interface, MindTap helps instructors maximize student engagement and turn memorizers into higher-level thinkers.
myNGconnect.com, a one-stop portal for online materials available with National Geographic Learning instructional programs, and National Geographic Learning Exploring Science, designed specifically for the Next Generation Science Standards, introducing students to real-world science research with National Geographic Explorers and scientists, were recognized for cross-curricular support and science instruction.
Gale resources that support library administrators and librarians were also honored. Analytics On Demand, Gale’s big data analytics solution for public libraries, was named a finalist for “Best Big Data Solution” and “Best Content Analytics Solution.” Classroom in Context (CLiC), a web-based curriculum portal that incorporates Gale’s multimedia library content, was named a finalist in the “Best Source for Reference or Education Resources” category.
DEWALT® Mobile Pro™, a mobile app for construction professionals that leverages Cengage Learning’s wide array of reference and training resources for the building trades, is a finalist for “Best Information Service Delivered as Mobile App or Platform.”
Commenting on the nominations, Jim Donohue, Cengage Learning’s Chief Product Officer, stated: “Cengage Learning has undergone a major transformation to enable the development of truly innovative digital products that engage our customers and help them achieve their goals. Recognition across the board from the SIIA validates our success.”
