Throughout their time in college, students will encounter a wide variety of course materials, resources, and tools, all designed—and then assigned—to help them master course concepts and gain a deeper understanding of the topics you’re covering in class.

But what types of resources do the college students themselves find most useful, and how do they use those course materials to study and perform well in their classes?

During Phi Theta Kappa‘s 2014 NerdNation convention, we had the opportunity to speak with several attendees about the course materials and tools that help them learn and succeed. When you play the video below, you can listen in as students discuss the tools and resources that have supported their success. You’ll also hear about the ways they use those tools to maximize the effectiveness of their study time.

What are some of the creative ways you’ve seen students use the assigned course materials and tools? Share those ideas in the comments.
