You know your most successful strategies for engaging your students. But what would a student from your class choose do to if he or she were “Instructor for a Day”?
Now, you can find out! Encourage your students to show their skills and creativity by entering Cengage Learning’s 2015 “Instructor for a Day” college scholarship contest. If they submit a video, they may win one of six college scholarships!
Entry is easy (and fun): In a one- to two-minute video, students should show us what they would do to get their classmates engaged and involved in the learning process.
The top entry will win a $1,000 scholarship. Five runners-up will each win a $500 scholarship.
How students should enter Cengage Learning’s “Instructor for a Day” College Scholarship Contest
To enter, students should make a creative, original video that’s one to two minutes in length, demonstrating how they’d engage students if they were an instructor.
The student’s explanation of his or her method of instruction must be clear, and the concept should be included in the title of the video or explained in the video itself.
Once complete, students must upload their videos to our Instructor for a Day contest website. Submission deadline extended! Entries must be submitted before 11:59 PM EDT on Sunday, June 21, 2015.
“Instructor for a Day” Contest Criteria & Voting Process
A qualified panel of independent judges will review and judge the entries. Their decisions will be based on the following criteria:

Five (5) runner-up winners will receive a $500 scholarship paid on the winner’s behalf to the institution at which they are currently enrolled as a student for the Fall 2015 semester or quarter.
