On Tuesday November 1, Cengage teamed up with LearnLaunch, an organization dedicated to connecting, supporting and growing the world’s edtech ecosystem, to host a fast-paced startup pitch competition in our Boston office.
Seven of the area’s most innovative higher education startups pitched their companies in front of a panel of industry experts from Boston University, Cengage and LearnLaunch, as well as a live audience. The companies received feedback from judges on ways to scale their business and increase their competitiveness in today’s market.
While all of the pitches were impressive, two startups walked away victorious. QuadWrangle, a series of apps aimed at making alumni engagement more valuable for everyone, was recognized for its developed product and growing list of customers.
Paragon One, an online career training platform that helps international students overcome challenges in finding meaningful internship and apprenticeship work experience, was noted for its innovative approach to solving a unique challenge.
The winners will proceed to the next round of the competition and present at LearnLaunch’s annual education conference, Across Boundaries, on February 2 & 3 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the event and congratulations to QuadWrangle and Paragon One!
