Summer term can pose an excellent opportunity for students to catch up on or get ahead in credit hours in their course of study, but let’s face it: It’s nice outside, many of their classmates are enjoying other summer activities, and there can be even more distractions than usual that get in the way of focus and success in summer classes.
Our friends at the CengageBrain.com blog, CengageBrainiac, have written a post for students that can help them see the benefits to staying focused on success in summer classes. Among the great reasons to enroll during summer term, they point out that it can help students complete required courses and complete their degrees sooner, and that if they find they’re behind in credit hours, it’s also a good opportunity to catch up.
In addition to listing some of the positive aspects of enrolling in summer courses, they also note what types of classes and scholarly endeavors are good fits for summer term, and suggest some tips on staying motivated and success-focused throughout the course.
